these are the waves in a world tour event? disgusting...

Drew was hooking it thick, faster, threw more squirt off the top. Parko's ankle was definetly bringing him down. Sure the waves were [no swearing please] but there was no real stamp in JP's turns.

yea it was close until drews last wave. he had alot of speed and power

this was a tough heat and ultimately what we right here doesn't change the result.... but the best wave of the event was finished with drew digging rail and falling off, yeh opther aspects of it were good but the finish was quite terrible..

alas joel i hope you get some swell for the next contests and show everyone why you are the worlds best.....
those waves you bagged at kirra at the start of the year were off the cahin, check cover of surfing world..

The surf shouldn't matter they are pro surfers.

Parko is the best when the waves are good. Nobody can match his style. Not Slater. Not Mick. Despite efforts, the "dream tour", as we've seen over the past three events, often makes good surfers look awful.

This could break him and send him packing like Irons

Parko absolutely smoked Drew in my opinion! He did way more vertical reos and he used way more power!

The results are clear tha same as when Andy won titles and when Kelly won.
Junk surf and Kelly wins or Mick is more fast & nibble. Great surf and Parko just steam rolls them like Andy did. That is Parko's story. In Bali last year, his backhand surfing was incredible. Contests 1, 2 and 4 this year has solid surf and Parko won.

Parko surfed bbetter, he just lost becasue of this guys enormous neck.

the problem was his vacation between j-bay and france, too much relax in indo and less focusing. he´s lost !!

I don't care who wins outa mick or joel (if it is one of them in the end). Mick has come back quickly from being way behind and so can joel or someone else like kelly, taj, cj, bede or adriano. As joel said in his interview on this site it was always gonna be a marathon not a sprint so it sounds like he's got a good head on.

DC surfed the better heat. Better wave selection (ok the surf still sucked) and he looked pretty damn good out there.

Parko looked like a gimp. He's an idiot for keeping on with the tour with a bum ankle. Should've stayed off the thing and waited til next year - unless he's interested in nursing an injury periodically for the rest of his career.

MICK WORLD CHAMP FOOOOOSHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Parko was unbeatable with his smooth style in perfect waves like J-Bay, but he looks lazy on [no swearing please]ty waves like Trestles, Hossegor and Mundaka, where all the other guys are electric. Look at Adriano, Mick, Kelly.. they rip anything that moves! A pro surfer gotta have the full repertoire of surfing if he wants to be the world champion... no excuses.
